This photo class, and tour, is a unique experience in and around Santa Fe. Professional photographer David has been a Santa Fe resident for more than 30 years. Bring your digital camera, smartphone, or both. This photo class/tour is a great place to start here in Santa Fe. You will learn composition, portraiture, landscape photography, lowlight, camera functions, and lots more. This 2- hour photo-class/tour will be a fun and insightful photographic learning experience for you while getting to know Santa Fe. Photo editing with Snapseed will be part of the instructions.
David knows all the best places to photograph in and around Santa Fe as well as being able to help travelers with questions regarding local restaurants, cultural activities, hiking, etc.

This 2 hour photography lesson was very informative, hands on, and fun for the whole family! We learned skills and techniques that we could immediately apply to help us capture beautiful photos with better composition. We also learned to use quick editing tools to bring those photos to life. David was friendly, knowledgeable, and very easy to learn from. Well worth the time and money! You won’t be disappointed!

David was friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating (we got the time wrong but as he was in the area we started the tour early). Whenever possible I try to take a photo tour with a professional photographer whenever I visit a new city. Not only does it give an insider’s view of one’s hometown and good spots for some different photos, it is also an opportunity to brush up on your technical skills. This workshop was different from the typical photo tour with an emphasis on composition and creativity using only our iPhones. We very much enjoyed the different approach and picked up some handy tips including the use of an editing app that we will use moving on. Thanks David for an enjoyable couple of hours. We highly recommend this workshop.

I was lucky, that day I was the only person in the class, so I got a private photo lesson from David for $85. which is a good deal! David is both a photographer, teach, as well as artisft (sculptor), so he has the experience to talk about composition, light, etc. Overall, the lesson was very useful to remind me of things I had heard before, but I forgot, particularly around shapes, forms and what to avoid doing. Then we also spent time on SW editing on the phone, which was really useful.
