We are a family of 3 from Colorado and have done river rafting in the past, but this was one of our favorite family trips! Joe was our raft guide and he was great! Our daughter got to "ride the bull" in the front, practice turning the raft and Joe made it very fun for all of us. Our day could not have been better. We also got to jump out the raft and swim in the shallow area with our life vests on (we rafted in Mid-August when waters are lower). So fun, if you are going to northern Yellowstone/Gardiner area you won't regret this type of experience!

Our guide Cole was professional and gave me a great feeling of safety. He also knew a lot about Gardiner and the area. He gave us tips about seeing bears, where to find pizza, and how to have fun in the river. My kids loved it and want to raft more back home. Hereā€™s the thing- you need to arrive early and park in front of the store because your car is your locker. They donā€™t have anywhere for you to secure your essentials. They have a basket for your keys and thatā€™s it. Bring sunscreen because Gardiner only has one store that I could find that has it and itā€™s not close to this rafting place. Wild West graciously allowed my kids to scrounge sunscreen from the jug for the guides. This saved the day. We did not know about the parking situation and how it fills up. We parked a few blocks away and it was a pain. Get there early so you can save a lot of walking. As a sidebar, wonderland cafe is nearby and we grabbed coffee and baked treats while we were waiting for our rafting. It was awesome. The rafting itself was beautiful and Cole even spotted a pronghorn for us.

Great for a short family adventure. I took my 12 year old daughter, who was a little scared, but she had fun and said she would do it again.
