What To Expect

Verde River

The Classic Water to Wine tour begins with approximately an hour and a half inflatable kayak trip on a scenic stretch of the Verde River with just enough chutes and riffles to add a bit of excitement without ruffling any feathers. Your river trip ends in the shade of giant Cottonwood trees at the confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River. Here, you take the gravel path up through the vineyards to the Tuscan farmhouse at Alcantara Vineyards for your wine tasting delight

Alcantara Vineyards and Winery

The Alcantara Vineyards is a favorite on the Verde Valley Wine Trail, featuring award-winning wines and friendly sommeliers to guide you through the tasting. Each customer gets a $20 credit (included in price) to use for wine tastings, food or gifts.

This kayaking tour was fun and easy, enjoyed getting a little bit of exercise and sunshine with Eric, our guide, detailing the landscape and area trivia. We enjoyed the winery, did a wine tasting and played corn hole with fellow kayakers. Just a fun relaxing afternoon at the winery!

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon paddle down the Verde River ending with some great wine and snacks at Alcantara Vineyards. Our guides and shuttle drivers were prompt, friendly and VERY helpful. We learned a bit about the area and the water and some history. Kayakers of all levels will enjoy this trip!

I was solo in Sedona and looking for fun outdoor activities. This kayak float trip was great! The guides were extremely nice and informative and everyone on the trip had a wonderful time. The winery is beautiful and lovely people. I highly recommend this tour if you like kayaking, relaxing and not working too hard to get to the winery!
