What To Expect

Verde River

The Classic Water to Wine tour begins with approximately an hour and a half inflatable kayak trip on a scenic stretch of the Verde River with just enough chutes and riffles to add a bit of excitement without ruffling any feathers. Your river trip ends in the shade of giant Cottonwood trees at the confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River. Here, you take the gravel path up through the vineyards to the Tuscan farmhouse at Alcantara Vineyards for your wine tasting delight

Alcantara Vineyards and Winery

The Alcantara Vineyards is a favorite on the Verde Valley Wine Trail, featuring award-winning wines and friendly sommeliers to guide you through the tasting. Each customer gets a $20 credit (included in price) to use for wine tastings, food or gifts.

We had a great time. Everyone in the group was fun. The leaders kept us well informed since the was a large group for tubbing ahead of us. Would highly recommend this activity. Not real strenuous just a great experience.

We enjoyed a leisurely kayaking trip on the sedona area. This is the perfect lazy weekend thing to do and you end up at a winery! The tour guides are incredibly helpful and kind. As you drive to the drop off location, they give you a quick tour of the route and the area. The kayaks are in good condition and the route is easy. I highly recommend doing this tour!

A great way to spend the day on the water. So peaceful. And the winery at the end is wonderful! Would do it again, except that its a bit expensive per person.
