What To Expect

Verde River

The Classic Water to Wine tour begins with approximately an hour and a half inflatable kayak trip on a scenic stretch of the Verde River with just enough chutes and riffles to add a bit of excitement without ruffling any feathers. Your river trip ends in the shade of giant Cottonwood trees at the confluence of Oak Creek and the Verde River. Here, you take the gravel path up through the vineyards to the Tuscan farmhouse at Alcantara Vineyards for your wine tasting delight

Alcantara Vineyards and Winery

The Alcantara Vineyards is a favorite on the Verde Valley Wine Trail, featuring award-winning wines and friendly sommeliers to guide you through the tasting. Each customer gets a $20 credit (included in price) to use for wine tastings, food or gifts.

I had such a great time on this trip! Our guide, Matthew, was excellent. His humor while instructing and informing us made it even more fun! The river had mini rapids, not much floating. But I liked that! Never felt dangerous! The A team was such a great way to end our kayaking adventure, there smiles and their sweet personalities was such a joy :) Highly recommend!

We had a great time on this rafting adventure. Matthew was great about explaining all the ins and outs of the river in addition to being very funny. The afternoon at the winery was also very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour.

Highly recommend this tour. We took six on this tour, and we're coming back with 12 it was so much fun. From the driver to the pick up crew at the end the customer service was excellent. Thank you all for giving us such a great experience. The wine was delicious, I highly recommend the Cabernet.
