3-Day Arctic Circle of Alaska Northern Lights Tour From Fairbanks

Overview
Discover winter in Alaska’s Arctic! Experience for yourself the legendary hospitality and authentic interpretation that made the original Arctic Circle Drive Adventure famous.  Travel north on the famed Dalton Highway. View the remarkable Trans Alaska Pipeline. Experience the mighty Yukon River. Explore up close the amazing arctic tundra. Cross the Arctic Circle and receive an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate.
NOTE - each tour is unique with our ever changing daylight. Depending on when you are traveling it is important your day may be more "night" then day light".

Spend 2 nights in Coldfoot, Alaska -- located directly under the Aurora Oval.  This is where the lights begin and branch out from here.  While no one can guarantee you the lights, you can help increase your odds by travelling at the right time of the year (when our nights are dark), get yourself as close to the source as possible (in Coldfoot directly under the oval) and then stay up all night.

I couldn't be happier with our experience with the Northern Alaska Tour Company. We booked the 3 day tour, we drove up the Dalton Highway to Coldfoot, stayed 2 nights, and flew home. Firstly I'd definitely suggest going with this company. They're great with communication and super organized, I felt looked after from the moment I first emailed them, to the moment of writing this review. The staff were all really nice, knowledgeable and helpfull. I really want to give a shout out to this tour specifically, we met a few different people over the 3 days we were there, and feel like you really did need a 2 night stay up there to fully appreciate it, and the drive up-fly back idea meant we saw everything the road had to offer, and then got a fun, scenic and quick flight back on the last day. If you're reading this review with any hesitations of booking this tour, don't! It's great

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity! I did 3 days and 2 nights at Coldfoot Camp. It was absolutely incredible! During my stay, I did the “Arctic Safari” through the Atigun Pass and it was breathtaking to see land that is completely untouched. Every guide I had was so passionate about the area and were excited to show it to others. The accommodations were clean, warm and comfortable. If you’re looking for a 5 star resort, this isn’t the trip for you. This trip is about the experience and exploring, NOT fancy accommodations. I’ve been to 18 countries, and this was by far one of the best trips I’ve done! Thank you for such an amazing experience that I will never forget!!

Thank you for taking the time to share with others your experience on the Arctic Circle Aurora Overnight Adventure. It is important for guests to understand the accommodations are not fancy .. but you go for the area you are in. The guides do have a passion for the Arctic and when their guests walk away with the same ... I guess I will say AWE of the area it boosts their passion. Thank you. Best wishes for a great spring!

This trip might not be for everyone, but we loved it! We drove north and flew south, w/ 2 nights in Coldfoot. We added the Arctic safari, Aurora tour and snowshoeing from Coldfoot Camp. The details really made this so much better than other tours we did. The guides and staff are welcoming and put care into what they do. They are attentive to detail and guest comfort — making the 40 below temps of the Arctic possible. For example, the Aurora tour had both a fire in the cabin and one outside, tripods for everyone, and the guides were knowledgeable about the Aurora, Alaska in general, and every kind of camera! We saw several moose, the Aurora, the beautiful boreal forest—and the flight over the Brooks Mountain Range was magical!
