3-Day Arctic Circle of Alaska Northern Lights Tour From Fairbanks

Overview
Discover winter in Alaska’s Arctic! Experience for yourself the legendary hospitality and authentic interpretation that made the original Arctic Circle Drive Adventure famous.  Travel north on the famed Dalton Highway. View the remarkable Trans Alaska Pipeline. Experience the mighty Yukon River. Explore up close the amazing arctic tundra. Cross the Arctic Circle and receive an official Arctic Circle Adventure Certificate.
NOTE - each tour is unique with our ever changing daylight. Depending on when you are traveling it is important your day may be more "night" then day light".

Spend 2 nights in Coldfoot, Alaska -- located directly under the Aurora Oval.  This is where the lights begin and branch out from here.  While no one can guarantee you the lights, you can help increase your odds by travelling at the right time of the year (when our nights are dark), get yourself as close to the source as possible (in Coldfoot directly under the oval) and then stay up all night.

I've traveled with Northern Alaska Tour Company at least 7 times and it's always been great! The people are amazing, and I've learned so much about the local history, climate and people. Don Kiely was especially awesome as he sang to us on the way back to Fairbanks. He truly has a love for the state and all it has to offer.

We drove to Coldfoot on the guided tour bus and returned by Air. Spent 2 nights in Coldfoot and had a great time. Saw the lights on the Wiseman tour. Also did the Safari and sled dog run. We had a great time. Everything was so organized and the people so friendly that took care of us.

We took the extended 3 night tour to Coldfoot, driving north on the Dalton Hwy across the Yukon River and the Arctic Circle and flying back to Fairbanks. This was truly the trip of a lifetime. Wonderful guides, comfortable accommodations. The beginning of the trip we stayed at the Springhill Suites in Fairbanks a very nice hotel. The drive up the Dalton was fun and was the main reason we chose this tour. After we got to Coldfoot we took 3 separate tours, a drive up into the Brooks Range, Aurora Borealis watching and dog sledding. Everybody was really nice. Only thing I could complain about were the 2 videos our driver from Fairbanks to Coldfoot made us watch. The other couple in the van were sleeping and my husband and I did not want the noise of a video and we even said something to the driver but she said 'I'll play it anyway'. I enjoyed the ruggedness of the road and seeing the real ice roads truckers and hearing their chatter on the CB radio. A great time!
