The outfitter (TREX) provided a great guide that that knew the area well and personalized the trip for us. We really enjoyed the rainforest and the information. Its a beautiful setting and would recommend a visit and tour if you're coming to Kethikan.

We loved our experience! Our guide was friendly, informative and interesting. The rainforest is beautiful and well worth the hike. But our absolute favorite was owner Tia. She went above and beyond to make sure we were placed on a tour that coincided with our cruise ship schedule, provided additional ideas of things to do before or after and even personally drove us to and from the hike site when the bus seemed it would be a little crowded! Over an hour of drive time back and forth each way dedicated to making our tour work. You can tell she loves what she does! Thank you again Tia! You made our stop in Ketchikan great!

Joe was our guide and he was not only knowledgeable, but funny as well. It is clear that he loves his job and the rainforest as well. We saw lots of eagles, a black bear, and salmon. We also learned quite a bit about rainforest plants as well as the history and culture of the area. A must do in Ketchikan!
