I chose Discovery Whale Watching for our latest trip based on these trip advisor reviews. We weren't disappointed. We saw lots of humpbacks, dolphins, and even a couple of orcas. The knowledgeable crew seemed to genuinely love being out on the water and looking for/seeing the sea life and we ended up being out a bit longer than the 3 hours because there was just so much to see! I would definitely recommend using this company for whale watching.

At first my thought was that the boat was too small. My concern is always about my motion sickness. the smaller the boat, the worst I thought I would feel. I went triple protected I took my Non Drowsy Dramamine, I chewed Ginger Anti Motion sickness gum and wore my Sea Bands on each of my wrists. That allowed me to enjoy the four hour trip. it takes a while to get out there but we were very fortunate to encounter quite a few Humpbacks breaching and several kinds of dolphins. The man in charge was constantly on the loud speaker explaining everything. he walked around the boat a lot interacting with us. we got a lot of good pictures and video. I would definitely recommend DISCOVERY WHALE WATCH. it was actually the highlight of our weekend in Monterey.......

A great tour. We saw humpbacks, blue whales, Rizzo's dolphins, and sealions hunting. Trinity, the naturalist, was very knowledgable as was her male deckhand. A sealion had formed a bond with a whale calf, and she did a wonderful job explaining the interactions. She also explained the feeding and mating behaviors of the blue whales. Absolutely incredible experience. A little rough, so take seasickness medicine if you're prone to it.
