Overview
Each tour is lead by an experienced Navajo guide, who is certified by the Navajo Nation Parks & Recreation Dept. and National Park Service. Each and everyone of our guides was born and raised in this Canyon De Chelly area, allowing them to gain a vast knowledge of its history to share with all our guests who visit this place we call home. As well as learning about the canyon's rich history, rock art sites and other archeological sites, you will hear stories and tales of life in the canyon and get a chance to visit our guide's families who still weave, farm, ranch, and continue to live a traditional Navajo lifestyle in this rural part of the southwest. We invite you to join one of our guides on a truly unique and one of a kind tour, and to support this 100% NAVAJO OWNED and OPERATED SMALL BUSINESS!! Ahéhee' (thank you)

We had a wonderful tour of the canyon with TJ as our guide! We got picked up at the Best Western at 9am..I can't believe we almost forgot to leave a review!! Loved hearing all the stories of the history and of him and his family and the plants and the animals ...the canyon was so beautiful..we stopped here and there, took lots of pictures which turned out great!! A highlight was seeing TJ use the Atlatl ! We are so grateful we had this tour!!

Out guide grew up on a property in the middle of Canyon de Chelly and was able to tell us of the history, the geology and the Navajo society and the changes that occurred over time. He showed petroglyphs, pictographs, uplifts in the rock, water challenges, horticultural changes, erosion changes and what it was like to live in the area herding sheep, growing ALL of their own food and living without electricity for years. We were completely overwhelmed. There had been recent flash flood changes which altered how far we could go in the canyon but that jeep went places we alredy didn't think were passable. Fantastic trip.

The guide was fantastic! He told us everything we asked about Navajo life, society, family life, etc. I’ve done several tours like this but this was the very best!
