Mr. Williams was very informative and fun. Wish the family could have him at the next Adkins Family Reunion but that will be in another state. Enjoyed every minute of it.

Jake was an outstanding guide for our 2 day tour of Montgomery and Selma. His personal history as a foot soldier of the civil rights movement added tremendous value to our experience. Jake has in depth knowledge of the history from early days of slavery to current day events. He was delightful to spend the time with. Always on time, prepared and ready to accommodate. I highly highly recommend using him on your tour to this area.

Jake Williams, owner of Montgomery Tours, was so knowledgable and fun to be with and made sure he included what we were interested in seeing. He had marched with MLK. Perhaps the best tour of our lives! He took us to all of the sites related to Rosa Parks, the bus boycott, voting rights, and the Freedom Riders. We saw the civil rights leaders’ churches and homes. Most important, we heard the back stories of what went on during that time. We also saw wonderful civil rights museums and sculpture gardens including one by Maya Lin and one signifying the lynchings throughout the South. We also saw the Confederate White House and the Alabama State Capitol. Jake introduced us to many members of the community. Jake asked us if we wanted to go with him that evening to Ralph Abernathy’s church for an event commemorating the 63rd anniversary of the Montgomery bus boycott. Fred Gray, attorney for Parks, MLK, and the other leaders of the Boycott spoke. An evening we will never forget!
