My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the 4 hour kayaking trip along the Kona coast. Kevin and Noni met us at the marina next to the Sheraton Kona Resort on Keauhou Bay at 7 AM. (Yeah, it was early but we had a helicopter tour scheduled for 1 PM). We were staying at the Sheraton and it was a short 5 minute walk. Similar to other posts, we were fortunate to have a private tour. After Kevin provided a short lesson on kayaking and paddling and we started off past our Sheraton resort. The water was calm and it was an easy paddle to our first stop, a small sea cave. Awesome sight, seeing the surf crash the back of the cave! Following the sea cave we snorkeled in a cove, swimming with an assortment of colorful fish and coral. Following a snack of fresh pineapple and muffins provided by King Kayak we did some cliff jumping. Kim chose the smaller jump and I selected the 24' jump. On our way back we spotted a sea turtle, again a fantastic sight! Kevin and Noni were great guides and provided wonderful stories of the area. Many thanks to them for a wonderful trip and vacation experience. When you go, travel light as there is not much room on a kayak. A dry bag is provided to store small items. Remember to bring a hat and sun screen since you will be in the sun the entire trip. A shirt or cover-up will also helpful. I had a Go-Pro camera which I used to film the water crashing in the cave and videoing the underwater life during the snorkel. Noni took over 100 pictures during the tour and uploaded to a website to download when we got home. She captured some awesome pictures. Many thanks to King Kayak for a awesome adventure.

Me and my friend did this tour yesterday. When we arrived, everything was prepared and we started kayaking after a short explanation. On our way to our first snorkeling spot we saw a sea turle (honu) and went to a cave :) then we snorkeled. There were a lot of beautiful fishes and we felt so happy, because we had plenty of time to snorkel and there was only the two of us and two more participants of the tour. We really liked that. Kevin, the tour guide, made us feel so happy and welcomed. Then we could jump from a lavastone cliff, real fun! We had fresh pineapple, the best i ever had, and muffins and chips. Goint to our second snorkeling spot back we saw some spinner dolphins. At around 11.20 am we came back and in the afternoon we received some beautiful photos that were taken during the tour. Thank you so much!!

My wife and I made the reservation for this trip only one day in advance and had a private tour with Kevin. We didn't request that, it just worked out that way. We met at launch site and took a double Kayak out past the bay along the way Kevin offered bits of history and facts about the area. He had us paddle up to a cave opening, I can only describe that as fun and exciting. After the cave, he took us to a calm snorkeling spot and let us snorkel as long as we wanted. We then climbed up on a cliff side and had snacks. We saw goats on the cliff and that was super neat! Kevin did offer the option to do a cliff jump but my wife and I both opted out. When we were ready we paddled back to the launch site. The whole thing took about 4 hours. We went (6:45am) in the morning and I recommend that time of day as well.
