We took the 45 minute flight over the Grand Canyon. Very happy we chose the 45 minute flight and not the shorter one. Well worth every extra cent. The pilot/guide was outstanding! Very knowledgeable of the area and very accommodating of my special needs. I am just an itsy, bitsy frail little gal and our pilot made sure I had all the extra help I needed climbing aboard. Having never been on a helicopter before, I was not sure what to expect. When you are flying over the tree tops and first come over the ridge and above the Grand Canyon, wow, wow, wow!!! What a breath taking experience. My traveling partner is very claustrophobic and thought he was going to have challenges. After we were strapped in and ready to go, he asked the pilot to stop so he could take off his coat and get comfortable to avoid any challenging episodes. This was taken care of without a second thought and he was then comfortable and enjoyed the entire trip. We will be back for another trip and special thanks to our pilot for creating such a memory...

My wife and I took the Grand Canyon train into the Grand Canyon village for a 2 night stay on the south rim. After having taken a bus tour, I would recommend to anyone to take the time and money to take a helicopter tour with the Maverick Helicopter company! We selected the 45 minute tour that took us into the Canyon for a majority of the time. I'll also attest to the skill and friendly nature of the staff. Specifically Arnie and Daniel! Arnie greeted us as soon as we walked in the front door helping with both the experience at the airport and advice for the village after the tour. Daniel (the pilot), was both informative and professional creating a relaxed and safe environment on flight! Which is important to us as first time helicopter passengers. Excellent choice for a tour if you want to be able to fully soak in the Canyons grandeur!
