What To Expect

Catalina Adventure Tours

Explore the Catalina Island's amazing undersea gardens by venturing on an exploratory mission aboard the semi-submersible SS Nautilus. Designed after the USS Nautilus, America's first nuclear powered submarine, this 45-minute 6-feet underwater journey departs from the Green Pier and will cruise to a marine preserved sanctuary known as the Lovers' Cove. Equipped with torpedo buttons, adventurers can create a feeding frenzy right from their viewing porthole for an additional charge. On the way back to the marina, enjoy breathtaking harbor views on the top deck of the submarine. Weather permitting, undersea garden tours depart hourly year round from mid-morning until an hour before sunset.

The food cannons where we were sitting were not functioning. Other than that it was fun and followed the description on web page

Food torpedo as the kids had a blast launching then watching the fish swarm by your view point. Staff was courteous which added to a great experience.

It was a great experience. But I felt like everyone should have had a mask on since we were in a close contact with being in the submarine. Also one of the crewmembers kept sneezing and she didn't have a mask on. I didn't like that at all she should of have a mask on.
