Despite my many trips to NYC, I’ve never been to the 9/11 museum. I booked a quick four days in NYC for my wife and two college-age sons and decided to book the 9/11 museum. They were very small when this attack took place, and so I was impressed how much impact the museum had on them. Of course, my wife and I relived the tragedy and were impressed with the layout and artifacts on display. The focus on the human impact was powerful. Most everyone was very respectful as it seems more like a grave site service, which in a way, it sort of is. The museum is worth the fee.

What a bone chilling experience. The design was well thought out to grasp the architecture of the towers and that fateful day. We spent 3 hours and could probably have spent another hour in the memorial museum. What a day in history that will forever be etched in my heart.

Definitely a must do when visiting NYC. A beautifully designed layout with lovely respectful touches. We spent hours there and still feel like we need to go again as there was so much to do and take in. There’s a lot of walking involved and not many benches. They could do with more benches in the little projection rooms and I think making some of the signs bigger would be better as it’s quite a popular attraction there’s a lot of people there all gathering round trying to read a small little plaque. It’s a great layout though and you learn so much. The waterfalls outside are free for all to do but for $23 going in the actual museum is definitely worth it.
