A moving experience. A beautiful tribute to those who perished and to those who gave their lives to save others. A must see.

I had mixed emotions about visiting given the subject and the importance of the site it was Emotional and difficult at times but definitely worth the visit. The museum does an excellent job in balancing the historical events with the personal stories of the day, the rescue efforts and the aftermath as well as remembrance. What I liked was the fact that it didn’t forget the victims of the Pentagon, Pennsylvania, those on the planes and those on the ground as well as the victims of the previous bomb in 1993. Many objects from the day were on display including a crushed and broken fire truck next to which was a photo which I had seen many times of firefighters getting ready to tackle the blaze, it explained that none of the men in that picture survived. Take your time take it all in and take tissues Outside are the memorial pools which stand on the site of the buildings they are very peaceful and relaxing and perfect place to get lost in thought

A beautifully done memorial. I brought my tweenage boys to the memorial and the museum as they were not yet born when the attack happened. I wanted them to have some understanding of this piece of American history. The line was long for the museum; however, the gentleman managing the line recommended going online for tickets, which saved us a long wait in line as tickets were available for entry at that moment. Ticket purchase was real time and we were able to walk right in with zero wait! The museum brought to life a lot of what many of us only saw on TV. I appreciated the opportunity to reflect and pay my respects.
