What To Expect

Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve

Your hot air balloon tour check in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless the roundtrip hotel transfers option is selected. Guests will float above the awe-inspiring Sonoran Desert viewing local landmarks, wildlife and plant life from above.

Camelback Mountain

Soar past iconic Camelback Mountain in the Phoenix Valley. This mountain is a favorite of local hikers and cyclists.

Downtown Phoenix

As the sun sets, you'll see Downtown Phoenix in the distance. As you come in to land, a table complete with linens and china awaits you in the heart of the desert, a clue to what you are about to enjoy! You'll be greeted with a traditional celebration that includes scrumptiously prepared gourmet cuisine from the award-winning Vincent’s on Camelback restaurant. First-time flyers will be treated to the legendary Balloonists Ceremony that balloonists all over the world have been sharing for more than a century.

Well this activity is bucket list material! From climbing into the basket, floating through the air, to champagne and appys at sunset, what a ride! Hosts were professional, knowledgeable, great value for the entertainment. Can hardly wait to go again

This was our second time to do the sunset ride with Hot Air Expeditions and with pilot Mike; but this time we brought our sister and brother-in-law to enjoy the ride. We had a great time and we all thought it was very soothing and light as a feather feeling. The pilot was great and we learned some interesting ecological facts. The evening hors d’oeuvres were very tasty and if we would have had time in our itinerary we would have stopped by Vincent’s. Best bang for your buck!
