What To Expect

Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve

Your hot air balloon tour check in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless the roundtrip hotel transfers option is selected. Guests will float above the awe-inspiring Sonoran Desert viewing local landmarks, wildlife and plant life from above.

Camelback Mountain

Soar past iconic Camelback Mountain in the Phoenix Valley. This mountain is a favorite of local hikers and cyclists.

Downtown Phoenix

As the sun sets, you'll see Downtown Phoenix in the distance. As you come in to land, a table complete with linens and china awaits you in the heart of the desert, a clue to what you are about to enjoy! You'll be greeted with a traditional celebration that includes scrumptiously prepared gourmet cuisine from the award-winning Vincent’s on Camelback restaurant. First-time flyers will be treated to the legendary Balloonists Ceremony that balloonists all over the world have been sharing for more than a century.

I went with my 13 yo grandson and we both had a great time. The van driver and the pilot were fun. The ride and views were incredible. We enjoyed the other people on the ride and the food and beverage at the end. We highly recommend this trip and would do it again.

Jonathan and Chris and crew provided and amazing experience!!! They were great with my daughters, 8 and 11 years old. They were nervous and Jonathan helped make the adventure so enjoyable!! I would highly recommend this group for and adventure!!

We really enjoyed our recent balloon experience. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with a sunset balloon ride. It was beautiful. Gary did a great job explaining everything that we did both on the ground and in the air. He was knowledgeable and very friendly. Keith, our balloon chaser (the guy who helps to set the balloon up initially and drives the van over to pick you up after landing...and he also was there to help us land extra nicely and get the balloon packed up again). Gary gave us a really fun flight. We spent some time high over the desert and low over the desert. He told us about all of the buildings, terrain, and wildlife around us. He pointed out a few rabbits being chased by a coyote, which was fun to see. Some kids in their backyard enjoyed waving up to us and were tickled to get a wave back. Gary also did a great job of explaining what he was doing to give us a great ride. He explained how he was using varying directions of wind at varying altitudes to move us down into the hills to get a good look at the desert, and he nailed landing us in a beautiful location where we watched the sunset surrounded by mountains all around. Gary put out a lovely spread of delicious treats and told us more interesting things about where we were and ballooning. We enjoyed our sunset Champaign while Keith and Gary got the balloon all packed up and ready to go. Gary and Keith did an outstanding job with everything and we had a fantastic time. My husband added on the package with the keepsake Champaign flutes and cookies. Those were really nice too. Thanks for a great trip guys!
