What To Expect

Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve

Your hot air balloon tour check in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless the roundtrip hotel transfers option is selected. Guests will float above the awe-inspiring Sonoran Desert viewing local landmarks, wildlife and plant life from above.

Camelback Mountain

Soar past iconic Camelback Mountain in the Phoenix Valley. This mountain is a favorite of local hikers and cyclists.

Downtown Phoenix

As the sun sets, you'll see Downtown Phoenix in the distance. As you come in to land, a table complete with linens and china awaits you in the heart of the desert, a clue to what you are about to enjoy! You'll be greeted with a traditional celebration that includes scrumptiously prepared gourmet cuisine from the award-winning Vincent’s on Camelback restaurant. First-time flyers will be treated to the legendary Balloonists Ceremony that balloonists all over the world have been sharing for more than a century.

Beautiful views. Not so easy to enter and exit the basket with little explanation. We were told an address for drop off and pick up that wasn’t correct for an Uber.

My husband surprised me with an evening hot air balloon adventure for my birthday! We met Amy at Deer Valley Airport. She transported all of us to the take off site (later, returned us to our vehicles). I loved seeing how our balloon was blown up by the crew and pilot, Don. While waiting, we watched other balloons take off. The crew decorated the basket with a happy birthday banner for my benefit and took photos of us. The ride was smooth from take off to landing due to low wind velocity. Views from different heights were amazing. After our landing adventure, we drank champagne served by Don and ate yummy warm snacks as the sun set. We enjoyed watching the crew deflate the balloon and pack up. Everything was so well organized! I appreciate the attention to detail since we made a few special requests. Don, Derek and his crew are to be commended for providing a fun, safe adventure! Thank you to the guests who graciously sang happy birthday. I am blessed to have shared this adventure with people who knew all the words to the song we sang! Well done! My husband and I will have wonderful memories thanks to the crew and guests! Can not wait to read more reviews of future adventures, by first timers and those returning for repeat adventures!
