What To Expect

Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve

Your hot air balloon tour check in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless the roundtrip hotel transfers option is selected. Guests will float above the awe-inspiring Sonoran Desert viewing local landmarks, wildlife and plant life from above.

Camelback Mountain

Soar past iconic Camelback Mountain in the Phoenix Valley. This mountain is a favorite of local hikers and cyclists.

Downtown Phoenix

As the sun sets, you'll see Downtown Phoenix in the distance. As you come in to land, a table complete with linens and china awaits you in the heart of the desert, a clue to what you are about to enjoy! You'll be greeted with a traditional celebration that includes scrumptiously prepared gourmet cuisine from the award-winning Vincent’s on Camelback restaurant. First-time flyers will be treated to the legendary Balloonists Ceremony that balloonists all over the world have been sharing for more than a century.

We’ve been looking forward to the ride and we’re not disappointed! It was amazing. It was a birthday gift for our 12 year old grandson and a bucket list item for us and his parents. And, our pilot Bill was knowledgeable and entertaining!

We were a group of 4 that flew with Captain Mike for the first Sunset flight of the season on November 1st of 2019. The Flight crew was first class and the balloon provided an experiance that everyone should enjoy at some point in there life. Highly recommended!

Just completed the sunset Hot Air balloon ride with my fiancé -along with 10 other riders- and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish! It all starts with meeting at the Deer Valley airport, being transported about 15 minutes into the desert by a friendly driver named Frank, then watching the crew put together the basket and inflate the balloon. Seeing the balloon ‘come to life’ is actually incredible! Finally we were given our instructions by the charismatic and funny pilot named Tommie and off we went!! From the time we took off until we actually landed, it was exciting and magnificent. The views of the desert, mountains, and lake, with the sun as it began to set were all breathtaking. We got a ridiculous amount of memorable photos and had a fantastic time. Everyone who worked on the crew were warm, friendly, and professional. When we did land, they served us champagne and some wonderful food! Even gave us certificates of our successful ride! It was a great experience that everyone enjoyed!
