What To Expect

Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve

Your hot air balloon tour check in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless the roundtrip hotel transfers option is selected. Guests will float above the awe-inspiring Sonoran Desert viewing local landmarks, wildlife and plant life from above.

Camelback Mountain

Soar past iconic Camelback Mountain in the Phoenix Valley. This mountain is a favorite of local hikers and cyclists.

Downtown Phoenix

As the sun sets, you'll see Downtown Phoenix in the distance. As you come in to land, a table complete with linens and china awaits you in the heart of the desert, a clue to what you are about to enjoy! You'll be greeted with a traditional celebration that includes scrumptiously prepared gourmet cuisine from the award-winning Vincent’s on Camelback restaurant. First-time flyers will be treated to the legendary Balloonists Ceremony that balloonists all over the world have been sharing for more than a century.

All of it, i loved the views and it was very peaceful. I was expecting to feel something when we started floating up in the air but i felt nothing. It was smoother than a plan ride you couldn't even feel the balloon going up. I loved every part of the ride.

Such a relaxing and enjoyable experience! I booked this as a surprise with my teenage granddaughter. We were both a bit apprehensive and all of that left once we were in the balloon and floating upwards. It was pure magic. We were delayed going up due to weather (wind) but once the pilots felt good about the weather, off we went. I do wish that I had understood that the meeting place (an airfield) wasn't our launch point but rather a trip about 20 min each way. This mattered because I had thought we could leave when we were finished with the post balloon ride celebration. This did impact the rest of our party who were waiting dinner on us and we were about an hour late! Lots of fun, though. Highly recommend
