What To Expect

Phoenix Sonoran Desert Preserve

Your hot air balloon tour check in at the Deer Valley Airport Balloon Ride Parking Area, unless the roundtrip hotel transfers option is selected. Guests will float above the awe-inspiring Sonoran Desert viewing local landmarks, wildlife and plant life from above.

Camelback Mountain

Soar past iconic Camelback Mountain in the Phoenix Valley. This mountain is a favorite of local hikers and cyclists.

Downtown Phoenix

As the sun sets, you'll see Downtown Phoenix in the distance. As you come in to land, a table complete with linens and china awaits you in the heart of the desert, a clue to what you are about to enjoy! You'll be greeted with a traditional celebration that includes scrumptiously prepared gourmet cuisine from the award-winning Vincent’s on Camelback restaurant. First-time flyers will be treated to the legendary Balloonists Ceremony that balloonists all over the world have been sharing for more than a century.

We were asked by another couple to go up in a balloon ride and we reluctantly accepted. After speaking with our captain, Craig, we felt as though we were in great hands. Easy takeoff, easy landing and floated effortlessly through the air, what an experience! When our kids come down to visit, we are going to take them on this ride.

We had a great time with Craig K as our pilot and Kyle as our crew chief. If you have never been on a hot air balloon ride the desert is a fantastic place to do it. My husband and I had never been on one so we thought our trip to AZ would be the perfect time. Note: Schedule your ride for early in your trip. Our originally date/time was canceled due to weather and we were able to reschedule for the night before we left. If you schedule early you have more chances to hit a good day. The ride was amazing. It is so quiet up there. Our captain was very knowledgeable and made everyone fill safe and comfortable. We rode with 11 other people but the basket did not feel too cramped through we were certainly not spread out by any means. The apps and champagne toast after were a perfect way to end our trip. Very glad we did this and picked this company to do it with.

This was our first hot air balloon experience. Captain Craig and Crew Chief Steven made the ride relaxing and memorable. From the time of check in, to our landing, we were treated with professionalism. You will have a great time and fond memories.
