Alaska Helicopter and Glacier Dogsled Tour - ANCHORAGE AREA

Overview
The most popular tour! Drive your own sled-dog team with 4 time Iditarod winner Dallas Seavey's team of mushers, handlers and champion dogs on real snow in the middle of summer surrounded by amazing scenery. Start this adventure with a helicopter ride over glaciers and icebergs. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and goats. Land on a huge snow eld high on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with champion sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer. Take the dog team for an exhilarating ride through real snow. You can stand on the runners and mush your own dog team or just sit on the sled and let the mushers run the team. After your dogsled tour meet the canine athletes that pulled your sled, listen to stories about running sled dog races of over a 1,000 miles long, and of course take pictures with your favorite dogs. After the tour the helicopter takes you back to the lodge and you’ll fly over the lower glaciers where you can see the blue melt pools and the crevasses.

What an absolutely amazing trip! Chris is a fantastic pilot. He taught us all sorts of things and went out of his way to make the trip special. Chad is a fantastic musher and really loves those dogs. All of these folks love what they do and it shows. My joy and delight was also theirs. I would recommend this to everyone who is in the area. You won't believe what you're missing! You can't see this stuff from the highway.

Thank you for your review. We always love hearing back from our first timers..So excited you choose to see Alaska in the Helicopter, it provides such a unique view and allows us to take you places not accessible by plane. We hope to see you again if you venture back to Alaska!

The whole experience was wonderful. Just a little confusion on the pick up place. The ride to the lodge was very scenic and we made photo stops. The helicopter ride and the views were incredible. I was a little hesitant with the helicopter since it was my first time, but it was so smooth that I was actually relaxed. At the camp sharing time petting the dogs was adorable and to see how eager they are to really go running and pulling the sledge was nice. Coming from Florida we were overly prepared for the weather which was actually nice. We were good with our warm clothing. The weather was also out of the ordinary, very warm the whole week.
