Coldwater Alaska was super accommodating getting us on a boat the night before the trip! The employees were easy to deal with on the phone and the information was shared with us immediately. Captain John was a most excellent guide on our ride to and back from the island. The Grewinck glacier is a fantastic hike, you have to do it! Thank you Coldwater Alaska for adding to our fantastic trip to Alaska.

Professional operation from booking to tour, thorough communications with office staff, reasonable tour rate, unique ride around Kachemak Bay. Captain John and mate Kristy were knowledgeable, personable, and intent on the tour participants having a customized experience. While we did not attempt to find whales, the tour was still packed with sightings, many close-up, of puffins, eagles, common murres, Dall sheep, and otters. The natural scenery around the Bay and coves is breathtaking, and we had a special perspective from the boat. Our tour occurred on a chilly / rainy day - needed the heater in the cabin plus the exterior door closed; be advised there is no rest room facilities on the boat.

We did a four hour private tour with John E. and it was awesome! We were not able to find any bears or whales but we saw some amazing scenery, stopped for a little lunch on a beach, spotted some mountain goats, puffins and otters and John was very knowledgeable about the area and fun to talk to. We enjoyed it a lot and it was a perfect day to be out on the water.
