What To Expect

Kachemak Bay State Park

Take a 2-hour (or longer) trip out on the water, catered to whatever your interests might be. Go see humpback and orca whales, birds, sea otters, or just check out the landscape as you cruise into deeper bays that push up against mountains and waterfalls. You can even choose what time of day to go. Are you into photography? Tailer your trip, depart early morning or late evening to capture images in the best light.

Our Captain/Pilot, John was super fantastic. He asked what we would like to see and of course we said everything, and we pretty much saw everything. Puffins, Black bear, Orca, eagles, otter and more. He spent time looking for wildlife and found it. I would highly recommend this Wildlife Trip to everyone visiting Homer. You won't regret it.

We went on the Castle Cove over to the Grewingk Glacier Saddle Trail to elope! The Coldwater crew made it the best experience it could have been! Quick & smooth ride across the bay, he was super nice, and pointed out any wildlife we might see! Got us back on time to grab dinner before everything in town closed. Super thankful for the amazing crew at Coldwater! 💙
