What To Expect

Rainbow Ryders Hot Air Balloon

Rise early to begin your hot-air balloon experience. Stop into the office for check-in, then ride to the balloon launch site (which varies day-to-day depending on weather). Your pilot begins the process of inflating the balloon when you arrive. You can even help out the crew during the inflation process for a more hands-on experience. As you float high above the ground, enjoy incredible birds-eye views of the Rio Grande Valley. Your pilot determines the route for the day depending on the wind’s direction. You may fly over the city of Albuquerque and even dip low enough to wave at people or skim the Rio Grande River. Throughout your flight, your pilot shares informative commentary about the landscape beneath you. After approximately one hour in the air, your pilot lands the balloon and the ground crew comes to meet you. Celebrate your flight with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine and a commemorative flight certificate before returning to the original starting point.

My wife and I visited my son in Albuquerque last week and the three of us did the Sunrise flight Monday morning. Dean was our pilot and he was so great to fly with. He was fun, informational, professional, and funny. It was obvious the entire time that his number one priority was safety and close behind that was to provide an amazing experience. We got to be a part of the setup, the flight (obviously), and enjoyed a nice toast afterwards while the efficient crew packed everything up. Everybody at Rainbow Ryders appeared to enjoy what they do and wanted to make sure we enjoyed ourselves as well. This was our first hot air balloon experience and I can't imagine doing it anywhere else with anybody else. Thanks Doug and crew!

What a great morning. These guys know how to do balloon rides. Dean our pilot was fantastic. Would recommend this one to anyone traveling to Albuquerque. Don't forget to ask for Dean.

Still talking to many people about this Balloon Ride . Damian and Nicole our pilot and handler were so great there was no misstep from our pick-up to our launch and landing . This company is Great!! They were both exceptional professionals and wowed us thru the trip.Thanks for making a positive experience we can remember from our time in Albuquerque. Our visit to the Balloon Museum was great as well.
