  • After confirming your booking, you will be given a precise Alcatraz departure time. Once on the island, guests may leave at any time as ferries depart every 30 to 40 minutes; the last departing ferry is usually 6:30pm.
  • The Alcatraz date cannot be adjusted after booking
  • All travelers first and last names are required upon booking
  • For security purposes, a government-issued photo ID is required for all guests to board the Alcatraz ferry
  • Self-Guided Audio guided tour lasts between 2.5- 3 hours
  • Alcatraz audio tour is available in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Dutch, Mandarin, Portuguese and Korean
  • Alcatraz voucher and a valid photo ID for all travelers will be required to pick up your Alcatraz tickets at Pier 33
  • Your bike tour will be reserved for the day before your Alcatraz trip.
  • Your Guided bike tour starts in Fishermanā€™s Wharf and takes you through the city of SF, the best way- on an e-bike!
  • Electric Bike Tour is 15 miles and lasts up to 4 hours
  • There is a midway drop-off for those who would like a shorter tour (drop-off fee not included)

What To Expect

Fisherman's Wharf
The tour begins in one of the only true Fisherman's Wharfs left in the country. Tour departs from our Fisherman's Wharf Tour Center at 2661 Taylor Street.

Washington Square
The tour will take you from Fisherman's Wharf into Little Italy. The first stop is at Washington Square Park, located in between St Peter & Paul's Church, Mommas restaurant, and some of the best Italian restaurants San Francisco has to offer. This stop provides great views of the TransAmerica building, Coit Tower, and Russian Hill.

Coit Tower
Donated by a widow of the Firefighters union Coit Tower pays homage to all firefighters, with it's fire hydrant design.

Transamerica Pyramid
Standing 853 feet tall with 48 floors. The Transamerica building is evocative of San Francisco and has become one of the many symbols of the city.

Exploratorium
Pass by the exploratorium, filled with science projects for everyone! Come back after the tour for some family fun!

Ferry Building Marketplace
Another iconic landmark of San Francisco! Designed in 1898. The Ferry Building was remodeled in 2003 to be a food retailer and market. It used to be the second busiest transit terminal until completion of Golden Gate and Bay Bridges

Traditionally a very Latin-American part of San Francisco, now borderrs with hipsters! Ride through Mission and Valencia Streets and see all the beautiful taqeria's, vintage stores, and amazing thrift stores!

Stop atop Dolores Park at the "fruit shelf" for one of the best photo ops of the downtown San Francisco Skyline.

Home of Harvey Milk and the LGBT movement, this neighborhood is steeped in rich history, vibrant colors, and a fabulous attitude!

Duboce Triangle
Ride your bike through the wiggle- a popular local cyclist route from the Castro into the Haight-Ashbury Neighborhood.

Haight-Ashbury
The tour includes a 30 minute lunch stop at our Golden Gate Park shop, 622 Shrader Street. Riders can get off their bike and walk around the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, or grab a sandwich from the local Haight Street Market. Haight-Ashbury is where the hippie movement began one summer of love. As you ride by you will hear the faint sounds of music by Janis Joplin and the Grateful dead - who owned homes near The Haight during the summer of love.

Panhandle - Golden Gate Park
Ride alongside the daily commuters and experience life like-a-local! along this short ride to the entrance of Golden Gate Park.

Alamo Square
The famous painted ladies and the backdrop of San Francisco! One of the most original and iconic photos of San Francisco will be taken here in this quintessential San Francisco park, Alamo Square Park.

You will ride through this trendy upscale neighborhood with beautiful shops and resturants. You will see the Opera House and the SF Symphony on your way from Alamo Square to Civic Center.

San Francisco's Civic center has some of the most beautiful Architecture- City Hall lights up in different colors each night, and you can see the lawn out front with a Spanish Retiro-park feel.

Lower Nob Hill
Ride along the Polk Gulch from Civic Center- a neighborhood that has seen it all! It was the original LGBT district of San Francisco. First Gay Pride Parade in San Francisco was on Polk Street in 1972.

See the iconic views of Ghiradelli Square, the Hyde Street piers, The Maritime Museum and the neighborhood Russian Hill.

Alcatraz Island
On day 2 enjoy the official trip to Alcatraz island, with ferry tickets to and from the island and a 2.5 audio guided tour of the island. We recommend 2/3 hours on the island, but guests can stay and experience prison for as long as they'd like!

We enjoyed both Alcatraz and Bay City Electric Bikes. We traveled with a 10 and 13 year old and did the city tour. Steve customized our tour to accommodate the kids ages and abilities. Definitely recommend!
