Alcatraz Island

Board the ferry to Alcatraz at Pier 33 on the Embarcadero in San Francisco. Headsets are provided to listen to the award-winning audio tour, “Doing Time”, where you will learn about notorious criminals like Al Capone, who were incarcerated here. Learn about escape attempts from 'The Rock' and listen to commentary from former inmates and staff. This will be your drop-off point. No transportation is provided after Alcatraz because you will be able to stay as long as you want on the Island until the last ferry back to Pier 33.

The tour was incredible! Alcatraz was really something to see and Muir woods was amazing. Tour operator was funny and easy going and even showed us some of the fancy houses. Tour was well worth it and I will be going again next year for sure. Highly recommend

Thoroughly enjoyed this 3-in-1 day trip. The self-directed tour of Alcatraz was excellent (all the logistics were explained really well by the agency) and the bus picked us up for the rest exactly where and when it said it would. The Muir Woods were stunning and free time in Sausalito was very enjoyable - plenty of great eateries and shops to enjoy. Our driver was very knowledgeable and engaging in his commentary, working hard to build rapport from the first moment. Thank you
