Alcatraz Island

Board the ferry to Alcatraz at Pier 33 on the Embarcadero in San Francisco. Headsets are provided to listen to the award-winning audio tour, “Doing Time”, where you will learn about notorious criminals like Al Capone, who were incarcerated here. Learn about escape attempts from 'The Rock' and listen to commentary from former inmates and staff. This will be your drop-off point. No transportation is provided after Alcatraz because you will be able to stay as long as you want on the Island until the last ferry back to Pier 33.

Worthwhile 1 day tour to all 3 locations. On the journey between the locations our tour guide Roman gave us really good informative information on various landmarks and recommendations of places to see or dine at and made it a fun and insightful tour.

Excellent! Robert was our tour guide. He was very informative, funny, friendly and a great tour guide! To get to see four attractions in one, this was a great price and tour. Be prepared for walking especially with Alcatraz, it's an uphill walk. Previous reviews mentioned to layer up, we did, and it was great advice. Overall, we loved this tour as we enjoyed our tour guide, tour, food and company! Best part of our time in San Francisco.

Amazing trip! Alcatraz was a return visit, and the only change/missing ingredient was that they didn't point out out Al Capone's cell (#181 on Michigan Avenue). Muir Woods was enchanting! Robert (our guide/driver) was perfect. He was interesting, funny, and engaging. The voyage offered breathtaking views, and the woods were magical. Every where we looked was another potential Kodak moment. Sausalito was gorgeous.
