Alcatraz Island

Board the ferry to Alcatraz at Pier 33 on the Embarcadero in San Francisco. Headsets are provided to listen to the award-winning audio tour, “Doing Time”, where you will learn about notorious criminals like Al Capone, who were incarcerated here. Learn about escape attempts from 'The Rock' and listen to commentary from former inmates and staff. This will be your drop-off point. No transportation is provided after Alcatraz because you will be able to stay as long as you want on the Island until the last ferry back to Pier 33.

Robert, our tour guide and driver to Muir Woods ans Saucilito was informative, friendly, polite and fun. The Alcatraz trip was okay. Unfortunately, we had to wait almost an hour fir the ferry to get us from Alcatraz back to Pier 33. I think Fleet Week activities in the harbor may have contributed to the delay.

Robert was phenomenal. He was so funny and engaging and made the trip so fun for my friend and I. We weren’t sent our Alcatraz tickets so when we showed up at will call, they panicked us but saying they didn’t have our tickets in their system. Turns out it was on an easy website we could look up, but that should have been provided to us ahead of time. The woods and Sausalito were a blast as well. I liked the small group and overall would recommend the experience to anyone
