The 12:50pm option departs from Pier 33. It will start with Muir Woods and Sausalito then to Alcatraz at night.

Alcatraz Island

Board the ferry to Alcatraz at Pier 33 on the Embarcadero in San Francisco. Headsets are provided to listen to the award-winning audio tour, “Doing Time”, where you will learn about notorious criminals like Al Capone, who were incarcerated here. Learn about escape attempts from 'The Rock' and listen to commentary from former inmates and staff. This will be your drop-off point. No transportation is provided after Alcatraz because you will be able to stay as long as you want on the Island until the last ferry back to Pier 33.

This was a good tour. The auto transportation and driver were great. Muir Woods tour was very interesting. However, I feel it was overpriced because of the amount of time we spent in Sausalito. Once we arrived there we had 40 minutes to do a self tour. Unfortunately, some were hungry and had barely enough time to purchase fast food. Therefore, self touring was out of the question. Lastly, once arriving at the Alcatraz pier the driver generally does not walk the tourist to the admission gate. And that place is very confusing and crazy! But, one of the tourist insisted that he escort us there and he did.

Alcatraz, Muir Woods and Sausalito Tour are all totally awsome and worth while! Such a wicked tour! Fayçal our tour guide for Muir Woods and Sausalito tour is a total legend! Such a lovely guy and knows all the stuff there is. It was great to meet him and he is an exact carbon copy of Daniel Ricciardo! Overall all of the tours were awsome, exceeded my own wonders and expectations which I had. So much history to Alcatraz that I wasn't even aware of. Muir Woods is also such a lovely place to visit and hike! Beautiful scenery of the red woods if San Francisco. Amazing to end this tour in Sausalito then to get a ferry back over. With breathtaking views. Also when in Sausalito its awesome to walk around and admire the beauty.

Our tour guide went out of his way to show us the different sites. Alcatraz was a trip back in time, Muir woods spectacular and loved Suasalito's quirkiness. 😁
