Guided cell walk was well worth the time. Stories told in the voices of the men incarcerated and the guards that were on the Rock with them.

I was under the impression that this was one activity. The tour of Alcatraz and then (or before) the SF Bay Cruise. Instead these were 2 different cruises, with timing that was not coordinated at all. We almost missed the opportunity to take the Bay Cruise. It is easier to simply buy the tickets for the activities separately when you are ready to go.

Hello, I am sorry you missed that it is two separate tours and it is written in the description. The timing are pretty well coordinate actually if you look at the schedule we send you. I am glad you still enjoyed the tour. Thank you

Wonderful and fascinating experience which all the family enjoyed….from the arrival with the hilarious ticket entrance guy who entertained the crowd as we queued to get on the boat, to the excellent crew on the ferry, to the fab staff on the island who guided and informed the guests. The island was easy to get around and the hero part….the reason we all go in the first place (The Jailhouse) was a real eye opener - there was a free audio description device that guided you around the jailhouse, mainly driven by voices of former guests (aka inmates) ….a brutal and fascinating account of the building and history You were able to go around the jail in your own pace and for as long as you wanted, which gave great flexibility….and when you were done just jump back onto any ferry back to the mainland that departed regularly throughout the day Great experience which we’d highly recommend
