You will explore INSIDE the Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary on Alcatraz Island with America’s most ruthless criminals, including Al Capone.

The ferry will leave on time at the specific time you booked. You have to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time at Pier 33. Walk, bike, take public transportation, or drive (as a last resort as it can be challenging to find parking), with easy access from anywhere around the Bay!

On the island follow the Cellhouse audio tour “Doing Time” 45 minutes available in Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

Also included is an amazing 1 hour SF Bay Cruise. Sail past the famous PIER 39 sea lions and along San Francisco’s historic waterfront, revealing the city’s fascinating skyline.You have the flexibility to go on your cruise on any day at any available departure. You will receive the schedule.

What To Expect

Alcatraz Island

You will take a short ride on a ferry (15min) to Alcatraz Island from Pier 33. Enjoy a 45-minute immersive audio tour to listen to the incredible history of the infamous prison. After that, you have all the time you want to explore the rest of the island. Then you can take any ferry back to the Pier 33. The ferry usually runs every 30 minutes.

Great self pace guided tour. Explore Alcatraz at your own pace as long as you get back to the dock to catch the last ferry boat for the day.

Very interesting & informative trip to Alcatraz......it was quite eerie though walking around inside the prison blocks. A must to visit while in San Francisco. The hour bay cruise was a great bonus & it was amazing going under the golden Gate Bridge.

The trip was amazing. We spend approx 3hrs on the island and then 1hr on the bay cruise. Staff were informative and very friendly. I 100% recommend. I recommend doing the cruise just before sunset, watching the sunset behind the golden gate bride was AMAZING!
