You will explore INSIDE the Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary on Alcatraz Island with America’s most ruthless criminals, including Al Capone.

The ferry will leave on time at the specific time you booked. You have to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled departure time at Pier 33. Walk, bike, take public transportation, or drive (as a last resort as it can be challenging to find parking), with easy access from anywhere around the Bay!

On the island follow the Cellhouse audio tour “Doing Time” 45 minutes available in Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.

What To Expect

Alcatraz Island

You will take a short ride on a ferry (15min) to Alcatraz Island from Pier 33. Enjoy a 45-minute immersive audio tour to listen to the incredible history of the infamous prison. After that, you have all the time you want to explore the rest of the island. Then you can take any ferry back to the Pier 33. The ferry usually runs every 30 minutes.

This was a great day out and a fantastic experience. I was skeptical about the audio tour and expected a rather mundane description of the prison but couldn't have been more wrong. The audio tour was extremely interesting and gave you fantastic insights about the prison and life for inmates, prison guards and other residents of the island. I would whole-heartedly reccomend this trip - it was the hilight of my time in San Fransisco

We bought our tickets for an Alcatraz trip, and a boat trip around the golden gate. When we got in the place that we were supposed to.pick.up.our tickets, no one could find our tickets or inform us what to do, so we called the company. They told us that they couldn't find the ticket for the day that we had bought, and that they bough the tours for the next day( that we wouldn't be in San Francisco anymore). They agreed to refund us

Tried to book a family tour for Alcatraz. Purchased tickets and was unable to download or print tickets as prompted. It did not give ANY other info so I researched and found that HUNDREDS of people have had problems and that they are a SCAM. I tried to call and reverse our purchase and the company REFUSED. Steer clear of this company!!!! ... Book your tours through your hotel.
