Save your money or better yet hire a personal driver. We have been on several other wine tours in other areas of California and this easily rates as the worst. We had a group of four and another group of four was on this tour. The bus host provided very little in description of the Temecula area and even less on the wineries we visited, no description of the wines and why the wineries were chosen. Several in the accompanying group had been to the wineries selected and asked for a deviation (not provided). The first winery provided a flight so no option to customize your choices. The second was slightly, better, the bartender was excellent asked what we liked and offered items off the menu. The third winery (cougar) was where it got even worse. Grapevines had two other buses at this winery where we were to eat and be served at least 5 pours. We were directed to a barrel room - which was basically a spruced up warehouse with fake barrels. The group which arrived previous to us was a 21 year olds bd celebration. Our host spent at least the first thirty minutes we were there pouring wine directly into the girls mouth and making a fool of himself as he was at least 65 and overweight. When they left he said ok what pour are you guys on, we said one, he said ā€œwell you better be nice or I wonā€™t give you a good pourā€, I said what is the difference we have only had one in 40 minutes. We ended this winery with two terrible pours and the wine was awful. The other group had complained to the management at the winery and were brushed off. We expressed our disappointment with the bus host also to not much satisfaction. We arrived at our fourth and final winery only to see the previous group of 21 yr old there. We asked the host if we could go elsewhere, he didnā€™t know and said give it a try. We did - we couldnā€™t get to the bar, they were out of two wines we wanted to try, and the ā€œpourā€ was a little less than 2 sips. At this point the 8 of us asked the host to go somewhere else. The companies response was to go back to the second winery. We basically had a designated driver at 3 wineries, the other party had been to three of the wineries previous with this same company and wanted to experience other wineries. I would never use this company again. Had the host been more seasoned he would have Been in contact with the company after the first winery as the group had already been to three of the wineries he selected.

As a Travel Agent, I find myself being extra critical of tours and tour companies. I usually find the small details I think that could have been done better or different so I can pass along to the tour company and my clients if we decide to book the tour again. I had no notes to change from our experience from our tour yesterday. We took the Lunch included day tour in Temecula. Our driver, Ralph, was fantastic. He was personable and professional. He was extra helpful as we had a member of our group needing a wheelchair to get around and he graciously offered to load and unload it from the back of the bus. Our tour director, Amanda, was bubbly, well informed, generated excitement and also accommodated several of the needs we had for the day. The included lunch was yummy and more than enough. I liked that they paired one of the wines with the included dessert. We felt like the included tastings were generous for the overall cost. We liked three of the four wineries, the one that wasnā€™t our favorite, was still enjoyable, we just didnā€™t prefer the wines. Overall I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to book a tour. I was impressed with their professionalism, fun provided by the staff we interacted with, and the ease of booking and accommodations. It doesnā€™t hurt that this is a woman owned business too! Way to go Grapeline Wine tours!

5 out of 5. Amanda and Ernie were amazing. Each location had great wines, Amanda was very helping and informative. Lunch was great and the pairings during lunch were great also.
