Women who are pregnant are not allowed to ride.
Wearing closed-toed athletic shoes on the Segway Tour is strongly recommended.
Tours may be cancelled if the weather makes for dangerous riding conditions. If we are unable to reschedule the tour, we will issue a full credit or refund.

Grant Park

Grant Park is a large urban park (319 acres or 1.29 km²) in the Loop community area of Chicago, Illinois. Located within the city's central business district, the park's features include, Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Museum Campus.

Buckingham Fountain

Buckingham Fountain is a Chicago Landmark in the center of Grant Park, and between Queen's Landing and Congress Parkway. Dedicated in 1927, it is one of the largest fountains in the world.

Millennium Park

Planning of the park began in October 1997. Construction began in October 1998, and Millennium Park was opened in a ceremony on July 16, 2004, four years behind schedule. The three-day opening celebrations were attended by some 300,000 people and included an inaugural concert by the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus. The park has received awards for its accessibility and green design.[2] Millennium Park has free admission,[3] and features the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Cloud Gate, the Crown Fountain, the Lurie Garden, and various other attractions. The park is connected by the BP Pedestrian Bridge and the Nichols Bridgeway to other parts of Grant Park. Because the park sits atop a parking garage and the commuter rail Millennium Station, it is considered the world's largest rooftop garden

The Chicago Lakefront Trail is a 18.5-mile-long partial shared use path for walking, jogging, skateboarding, and cycling, located along the western shore of Lake Michigan in Chicago, Illinois.

Our team enjoyed a Friday afternoon in late summer with a Segway tour of Chicago's lakefront. Our tour guide, Vincent, was terrific. He spent time teaching us how to safely use our Segways and gave us time to practice before we left for the tour. His instructions were very thorough and he instilled confidence in our ability to master these clever machines. We left from Navy Pier and rode south on the sideways and bike paths along the lakefront to the museum campus with several stops along the way. He offered to take pictures of our group several times and did so upon our request too. He is a local Chicagoan from Hyde Park and had great information on the city. He tailored the discussion to the group as he learned our background and whereabouts. We stopped at the Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, 12st Beach, Soldiers Field, and Buckingham Fountain before heading back to Navy Pier. In all it was about 2.5 hours. We had a Groupon which made the value great and the weather was absolutely gorgeous.

Our guide, Lenny, is THE BEST!!! He spent as much time as everyone in our group needed to feel comfortable on the Segway. He was patient and encouraging. As a Chicago native who grew up very near Navy Pier, he gave us plenty of fun information and tidbits on the city. I highly recommend this tour. We had (2) 14-year-old kids on it and they loved it too!!!

This was our first Segway experience and our guides made sure we had a great time. We had a training session and the. We were given a fun and informative trip around the lakefront and museums. I wasn’t sure if I could ride the Segways but it was easier than I thought! I would recommend this tour to anyone for an intro to the lakefront region of Chicago!
