The Lofton Creek Kayak Tour is perfect for paddlers of any level, including children and beginners. It’s an intimate nature experience in which participants can expect to get up close and personal with turtles, alligators, snakes, otters, and occasionally, manatees. The terrestrial nature of the forest attracts pileated woodpeckers, red shoulder hawks, and the curious anhinga, sometimes referred to as the “water turkey.” The protected makeup of Lofton Creek means paddling here is “weather resistant” to tumultuous coastal conditions. A south-bound paddle on Lofton Creek provides picturesque marsh views, whereas a north-bound paddle is a more remote, forested experience. We paddled through quiet, beautiful woods on both sides of the creek. It was relaxing and beautiful, and easy as well.

The adventure was well worth the money. The pace was perfect and the scenery was gorgeous. This was a birthday present (my 70th birthday) and it made me feel younger!! Great job.

Weather was challenging and my schedule was limited but Catherine and Thomas made it happen for me. They took me to explore Lofton creek. It was peaceful and beautiful. Catherine was very friendly and informative about the local area. After they even drove me into Fernandina because my cell phone was glitchy. Did I mention, It was their anniversary! They are truly wonderful people. I enjoyed it and my only regret is that I wasn't staying longer to join them on more adventures.
