Overview

The Lofton Creek Kayak Tour is perfect for paddlers of any level, including children and beginners. It’s an intimate nature experience in which participants can expect to get up close and personal with turtles, alligators, snakes, otters, and occasionally, manatees. The terrestrial nature of the forest attracts pileated woodpeckers, red shoulder hawks, and the curious anhinga, sometimes referred to as the “water turkey.” The protected makeup of Lofton Creek means paddling here is “weather resistant” to tumultuous coastal conditions. A south-bound paddle on Lofton Creek provides picturesque marsh views, whereas a north-bound paddle is a more remote, forested experience. My friends and I wanted a little fun, education, exercise and adventure on the water and we got everything and more from our trip on Lofton Creek with Catherine! I would go again and also go on other trips with Amelia Adventures. It will definitely be on the list again when I go back to Amelia Island!

My husband and I wanted to get a different view of Florida than just the beach. We chose the Lofton Creek kayak tour with Tom and Catherine. They are super friendly and knowledgeable about the area! When we get back to Amelia Island we will choose another adventure with them! So awesome to see the alligators in there natural habitat!!
