Amelia Island Guided Kayak Tour of Lofton Creek

Overview
The Lofton Creek Kayak Tour is perfect for paddlers of any level, including children and beginners. It’s an intimate nature experience in which participants can expect to get up close and personal with turtles, alligators, snakes, otters, and occasionally, manatees. The terrestrial nature of the forest attracts pileated woodpeckers, red shoulder hawks, and the curious anhinga, sometimes referred to as the “water turkey.” The protected makeup of Lofton Creek means paddling here is “weather resistant” to tumultuous coastal conditions. A south-bound paddle on Lofton Creek provides picturesque marsh views, whereas a north-bound paddle is a more remote, forested experience. The Lofton Creek Kayak Tour is a guaranteed good time for everyone in your group!

Katharine gave us a great tour of Lofton! Her easygoing manner made it so easy for experienced and novice kayakers. The 2 hour tour was laid back but fun as we explored the river. It was a peaceful trip into wild Florida with gators, turtles, herons and more! Katharine and Thomas were so accommodating and added such value to our trip! Come see them in Amelia Island! 🏝🛶☀️

Had a great time with Thomas kayaking to Cumberland Island with my husband! I was a little nervous kayaking across the channel since we haven't kayaked in some time. However, Thomas made us feel right at home. He gave us a quick lesson before we started and guided us each step of the tour. During our tour, we saw a sea turtle and dolphin in the channel, and some wild horses on Cumberland Island. All in all, it was a great day and I would recommend!

We recently did a self- guided tour of Lofton Creek with family. The kayaks were there when we pulled in ready to go. There was no instruction given but fortunately we got the hang of steering the kayak quickly! Lol! It was so much fun. We didn't have an opportunity to see much wild life but it was relaxing and at times competitive with family members! We will definitely do this again with the next group of visitors.

Hello Sandy! SO, guess what? This review is not for our company, Amelia Adventures. We only provided guided kayak tours with instruction, etc. You four stars review is kind and I'm sure the company who rented you the boat would appreciate it. Reach out to myself at [email protected] and I will assist you in removing review and reposting with correct company :)
