Amelia Island Guided Kayak Tour of Lofton Creek

Overview
The Lofton Creek Kayak Tour is perfect for paddlers of any level, including children and beginners. It’s an intimate nature experience in which participants can expect to get up close and personal with turtles, alligators, snakes, otters, and occasionally, manatees. The terrestrial nature of the forest attracts pileated woodpeckers, red shoulder hawks, and the curious anhinga, sometimes referred to as the “water turkey.” The protected makeup of Lofton Creek means paddling here is “weather resistant” to tumultuous coastal conditions. A south-bound paddle on Lofton Creek provides picturesque marsh views, whereas a north-bound paddle is a more remote, forested experience. The Lofton Creek Kayak Tour is a guaranteed good time for everyone in your group!

Thomas led my daughters and I on a wonderful kayak trip through the Egan's Creek area of Amelia Island. Thomas is an excellent guide and instructor...great insight and demeanor with myself and my kids. Had a great kayaking experience and look forward to another adventure in future trips.

A few different tours available and we chose Lofton Creek. We called the morning of for reservations and Thomas helped us pick the best tour for us. He was very flexible with the pace, gave good instructions, and took our photos and then emailed them later. Peaceful, quiet, shady, relaxing trip. I recommend this company and have fun! .

We went on the Lofton Creek tour on the first full day of our vacation, and it got our vacation started off awesomely! The tour was relaxing and slow paced so that we could take in all the beauty of the creek. Thomas knew we wanted to see alligators so he was on the look out and made sure we were quiet as we approached where a large alligator usually hangs out. We saw a huge 8+ foot alligator and a few smaller alligators! When we booked the trip, we didn't know that Thomas would take pictures of our adventure and send them to us. That was a nice added perk. We will treasure the memory of this trip and our pictures forever. Highly recommend this tour and Amelia Adventures.
