Amelia Island Guided Kayak Tour of Lofton Creek

Overview
The Lofton Creek Kayak Tour is perfect for paddlers of any level, including children and beginners. It’s an intimate nature experience in which participants can expect to get up close and personal with turtles, alligators, snakes, otters, and occasionally, manatees. The terrestrial nature of the forest attracts pileated woodpeckers, red shoulder hawks, and the curious anhinga, sometimes referred to as the “water turkey.” The protected makeup of Lofton Creek means paddling here is “weather resistant” to tumultuous coastal conditions. A south-bound paddle on Lofton Creek provides picturesque marsh views, whereas a north-bound paddle is a more remote, forested experience. The Lofton Creek Kayak Tour is a guaranteed good time for everyone in your group!

We kayaked to Tiger Beach and saw amazing scenery, birds, and manatees. Thomas was our guide and he was outstanding. He offered helpful instructions, provided interesting facts and local history, and took great photos. Even if you have only 1 day in Amelia Island, take a kayak tour with Amelia Adventures.

My wife, two teenagers and I went on a 3 hour kayaking trip on beautiful Lofton Creek. We had varying degrees of kayaking experience. The scenery was beautiful, we saw lots of wildlife, and our guide Thomas was awesome - he was great with our varying skill sets, took the most incredible photos, pointed out all sorts of wildlife along the way, and had all sorts of great stories to tell. It was really just a GREAT day and we will use them again for a more ambitious trip in open ocean, perhaps to Cumberland Island or down to Big Talbot. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We were Kayaking for the first time and with a child 6 years old. Thomas suggested Lofton Creek Tour which was great! We took the morning tour and I am glad we did :) The Creek wasn't busy, we had the shade all along and water was calm. Thomas was great at explaining things and telling us about the area and Kayaking techniques. His mother joined us as well and provided some good tips for things to do in the area afterwards. They made our Kayaking experience a lot of fun! Thomas took our photos along the way and all of those came out pretty good :) We saw baby alligators along the way, which was pretty cool!
