If you have someone handicapped or disabled going with you on this I would strongly discourage yo from going. Not ADA safe, no ramps or anything if you are wheelchair bound. Captain barely talked to us and only acknowledged 2 people out of the whole ship. I feel bad for there poor interns who had to do stuff for him because he just talked to the 2 people the whole time. He certainly played favoritism and it was clear. Only really gave an opportunity to ā€œsteerā€ the ship for the elderly and not for the fact that it was my b-day, I know he would not have let me or anybody else do it.

Terrible on many levels - Not on the description is that you are sitting on the floor of the deck an an old worn out half inch mat no matter what your age. Extremely uncomfortable for me and Iā€™m 53. I canā€™t imagine older people, people with any physical issues or overweight people. My daughter is severely handicapped. The ā€œcaptainā€ didnā€™t even communicate with us asking if she had any special needs. There are three seats ā€œreservedā€ for elderly I guess but two of the three people sitting in those seats looked much better off than me or my daughter but they were friends of the captain. There is no way this boat was ADA compliant. I was miserably uncomfortable the entire trip. The rest of my family was too. The captain was a rude, inconsiderate old man with a stained shirt that never said 2 words the entire trip. He seemed way to out of it to handle any real situation that may have occurred. The two interns on the boat were very friendly (the only nice thing) and doing all of the work. Both of them have only been doing it since this summer so again if the boat ever left the harbor I would be concerened, BUT THE BOAT NEVER LEFT sight of the lighthouse. They took us out a few hundred yards, tried to sell beverages and there we sat for an hour until we went back into dock. It was so boring and hot with no history, no entertainment, nothing! Save your money and go on the shrimp boat or helicopter ride. This review is even to nice considering how PO I am on how I was treated. It was a terrible experience.

Bought as a surprise for my mom. Was kinda Rainey to state and then no wind. But they canā€™t help the weather. We sat there a long but going nowhere. Finally they turned the engines and we moved a while. I was glad to move as was hot and humid despite the overcast. Floated/sailed in a big circle. All the drinks were hot. I knew to pay but cold drinks (soda or beer) are necessary. We thankfully saw some dolphins. Thatā€™s about it. Sitting still and trying to catch a glimpse. Oh and my kids got to help crank a jib. That was another highlight. Crew was mostly new but for one guy who was in charge,, but all were nice. Overall not a bad trip. Maybe shoulda been a 30$ range for what we did but of course Iā€™ve no idea of their overhead. Hope that helps.
