Only on Hilton Head and only in Harbour Town can you sail aboard the real America's Cup, 12 meter, Stars & Stripes once skippered by the famous Dennis Connor. All trips take place under full sail. We only use our motor to get in and out of Harbour Town.

We don't offer any infant rates for this trip as the tickets are a per person rate. All ages will need a ticket.
Stars & Stripes is USCG approved to carry up to 30 passengers, but since COVID we have limited public capacity to 20 passengers.
Private charters are available for Stars & Stripes. Please contact Vagabond Cruise if you are interested to learn more about this option.

We sat in the harbor for an hour waiting for dolphins which never showed up. We never did any actual sailing like in the America’s cup. We coasted. Very disappointing. Very boring. We sat and watched a storm approaching and the captain started back to the marina too late. We all got drenched. It was a waste of money and time.

We booked this excursion while on vacation in Hilton Head with another couple. Both of the guys were really excited about the opportunity to be on board one of the Stars and Stripes sailboats of America's Cup fame. The crew was friendly but the captain never introduced himself and just remained in the back, which was understandable when the trip got underway but an opportunity to teach everyone about some of the history of the boat and the America's Cup was lost. We did some fast sailing for a short while but then ended up just sitting and nobody explained what was happening. My husband owned a sailboat and was familiar with what could have been done to get wind in the sails and make it move. There was no complimentary water, all beverages had to be purchased, which was understandable if you wanted a beer or wine, but water would have been nice. It was a letdown considering how much more excitement could have been generated by giving out more info on this historic boat.
