We enjoyed the 4:30 sail on Stars & Stripes on July 4th. The sail was peaceful and a wonderful way to see Hilton Head and Daufuskie Island from the water. The boat, despite being at maximum capacity was not overcrowded. The captain and crew were welcoming and a fun group. A couple of passengers were able to help raise the sail and my daughter, much to her delight, was able to steer the boat for a while. We had considered bringing my toddler grandson along and then decided against it. While young children are allowed, it would have been a mistake and we were glad we decided to have him skip the trip. It's more of an adult trip, or with children that will stay put where they're supposed to. Not a place for kids to run around. Definitely a lovely activity for a group of adults/young adults/family with kids over 8.

The sunset sail on this ship was an excellent memory. Perfect night, fine crew, great folk on board. Would strongly recommend this sail - do plan to get here early as area parking is a bit of a challenge.

My husband and I were planning a visit to Hilton Head Island and were looking at cruise options when we found information about the America's Cup sails. We signed up for an afternoon cruise, and it was a great experience! The guests are seated on cushions on the sides of the boat or the rear of the boat. We were able to sit in the rear which provided for great views of the surroundings as well as when the sails were being raised, lowered or adjusted. Captain Peter was really enjoyable, and made sure that anybody that wanted could be at the helm to steer the boat. He also loved taking pictures which provided lots of great memories for many on the boat. The cruise was very smooth and quiet! It was great to be out on the water and watching the coastline go by in silence. I would definitely recommend this tour!
