We were a bit apprehensive at first, making sure we sat near the life vest. It didn't take us long for the crew to make us feel at ease and like an "old salt." The opportunity to work the winch line and be a part of the crew was wonderful. Total rush when the craft heels over a bit. The views of the city were breathtaking. We had the added treat of spotting whale in the bay and just outside the GG. OK, this IS NOT a tour like the other boats, this is an experience that will last forever. The number of "passengers" is limited so we have time to chat with the crew. YES, we will be back!

Had a great time on the water. Very professional crew that made everyone feel at home. The boat is owned by Larry Ellison (Oracle) and it isn't every day you can have an opportunity to sail aboard a real 12m racing yacht, let alone take the helm.

As sailors ourselves, we planned to take a trip on USA 76 in high winds, but the day we showed up they were much higher than expected with gusts of over 30 kts. Definitely the windiest day so far this summer! Regardless, the crew took us out and outfitted everyone with waterproof pants and jackets to keep us comfortable and gave us all chances to drive the boat. We also took the optional opportunity to be 'grinders' working the large winches as the boat changed points of sail. It was truly exhilarating riding this huge boat through high winds and high seas. My wife was grinning ear to ear all day after getting back despite getting hit with sea spray again and again. The crew was also extremely helpful in explaining the history of the boat and answering my questions about how the boat worked. They're not joking when they say bring extra layers! It can easily be warm and sunny on pier 39 and then 10 degrees colder or more on the water.
