Visiting the American Museum of Natural History was an unforgettable experience. I was blown away by the sheer size and detail of the exhibits, especially the dinosaur fossils—they were absolutely awe-inspiring. The Hall of Ocean Life, with its life-sized blue whale model, was another highlight that left me speechless. I appreciated how the museum balanced education with entertainment, making it engaging for both adults and kids. Overall, it was a day well spent, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in the wonders of our natural world.

Since the pandemic you have to pre-buy your tickets. Fortunately, while looking at the site, I saw this and did it. You also have to select a time, which I did. I was disappointed when I arrived, that there was a line to enter, and that line went around the block, everyone had timed tickets. I thought that would be one advantage of pre-buying tickets, no need to wait in line to get them. Apparently the time on the ticket is not really enforced as many people in line had an earlier time, but were late. Having to stand in line to get in, reduced the time I had to visit the museum, which was disappointing. This is still one of my favorite museums, and in the future, I'll factor waiting in line in when making my purchase.

I was worried when my family arrived at the museum shortly before 10am and the line to enter wrapped around the block, but once the doors opened we were inside in less than 10 minutes. My son and his grandfather enjoyed the Dinosaur exhibit. The cafes on site had an assortment of wraps and sandwiches, fruit, coffee, soda and water at reasonable prices which offered a great place to sit down and relax without having to leave the museum. We also did the interactive exhibit which was really cool. The staff was great about warning my elderly parents that the exhibit can cause vertigo and that chairs were available upon request.
