Many visitors to Lancaster seek out meaningful personal contact with the Amish community. Imagine visiting three Amish properties where our longstanding relationships allow you to become their guests during your stay. This exclusive tour is limited to 14 guests, and provides the rare opportunity to meet and talk to various Amish where they live and work. The three stops: Visit an Amish farm at milking time, go behind-the-scenes with an Amish craftsman, and then sit and chat with an Amish family right in their home.

We went to Bird in the Hand Pa. on Monday Oct. 9, 2017 with our friends who were visiting from Iowa. We had information prior to our arrival, but stumbled across the Amish Experience by chance. We opted to take the country bus tour instead of the buggy ride. Our bus driver and tour guide Kent, was above and beyond great. His personal knowledge of the Amish way of living was incredible, since he knew a lot of the families personally, which made for a great tour. He also pointed us in the right direction for a great place to eat. If you are planning a trip to Lancaster county, I highly recommend taking the Amish experience and request Kent for the tour, you won't be disappointed.

My wife and I were on our trip home to NC from a week in the Cape Cod / Martha's Vineyard area and wanted to be sure we took time to visit Amish country. We had no idea just how amazing this experience would be. We decided to take the "in home" tour and both agreed this was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide DeAnna was amazing. She was Very informative and shared lots of history and facts about the Amish and their way of life. It really seemed she had become very good friends and almost just part of the family with all the families we visited. Most of all I noticed she was very respectful of the Amish and the their lifestyle. My wife and I agreed we will be planning a return visit and hopefully another in home tour. Only the next time we plan to spend more time in the area and explore more of the area and visit and learn more about the Amish and their culture. I really enjoyed the Amish Experience VIP tour. We visited with three Old Order Amish families at their homes. They were friendly and candidly answered any questions. The children were so cute and loved to show us their toys and puppies. I loved learning about their Amish culture and religion, and came away with new respect for them. We visited a dairy farm, a greenhouse, and got invited into one of their homes to sit and talk. Our tour guide, Beth was very knowledgeable, and tried to make sure that we had a good time. I'm so glad we went on this tour.
