Many visitors to Lancaster seek out meaningful personal contact with the Amish community. Imagine visiting three Amish properties where our longstanding relationships allow you to become their guests during your stay. This exclusive tour is limited to 14 guests, and provides the rare opportunity to meet and talk to various Amish where they live and work. The three stops: Visit an Amish farm at milking time, go behind-the-scenes with an Amish craftsman, and then sit and chat with an Amish family right in their home.

I love learning about the Amish. I read Amish novels and we have visited Lancaster county many times. This was our first time doing the Amish Experience. We especially loved the guided tour through the farm lands. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We highly reccomend this experience with anyone wishing to learn about the Amish. We were also very fortunate to have 70 degree weather in October which made it all very comfortable.

We started our Amish country visit by doing the Amish Experience. Great choice! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The movie was good. I learned more from the school house tour than I expected, and we really enjoyed the buggy ride. The gift store had an excellent selection of goods, and we ended up coming back another day to purchade more items to bring home after we had seen what was available elsewhere.

The VIP experience was a highlight of our trip! Beth was an excellent tour guide. Apparently she knows the families that we visited and that allowed even more insight, as the families were comfortable with her. When we weren't sure what questions to ask, her guidance in asking enabled us to learn more information about their daily lives. Being able to see these families in operation, doing their daily tasks was invaluable. This trip was with my 10 yr old daughter and she loved the VIP also. The hour spent with the Amish couple in their home at the end of the tour was an experience we will NEVER forget. They were humble and kind to allow us to ask countless questions to better understand the Amish "way of life". We learned so much! This type activity has been on my bucket list and I never dreamed we would actually be afforded the experience. Most communities are very reserved with the "English". Thank you for putting this together and allowing us to get a glimpse into their lives. Great job Beth!
