Overview

Many visitors to Lancaster seek out meaningful personal contact with the Amish community. Imagine visiting three Amish properties where our longstanding relationships allow you to become their guests during your stay. This exclusive tour is limited to 14 guests, and provides the rare opportunity to meet and talk to various Amish where they live and work. The three stops: Visit an Amish farm at milking time, go behind-the-scenes with an Amish craftsman, and then sit and chat with an Amish family right in their home.

This tour was amazing. I would highly recommend it. The ability to visit in person the various locations and talk directly with the people gave you a greater understanding of this community. The individuals and families were amazing, friendly, and open. Our tour guide was fantastic. He was well not only knowledgeable but also you could see the wonderful relationship he had with each of the families we visited. You don't want to pass this one up. Also, the people in the office were wonderful as well.

This was our second Visit-in-Person tour with Amish Experience and both tours exceeded our expectations. In each case the three stops provided interesting insights into the daily lives of the Lancaster County Amish. The Amish we met were extremely warm and inviting. We especially enjoyed the opportunities to sit with the Amish families and exchange thoughts and experiences. The second tour was guided by Art who did a marvelous job in providing nearly non-stop commentary about the history, practices and culture of the Amish with intimate (and often personal) insights into many individual families, farms and businesses. We would definitely consider taking another tour when we return to the area.

We visited the Amish country while on a vacation in Philly. It was a beautiful, peaceful and educational experience. We spent the day touring and eating in the delicious restaurant.
