I booked this tour because I wanted to give some friends a quick look at the Amish way of life. I expected a touristy show. I came away so Impressed with the quality of the tour. Kent was a magnificent tour guide. We happened to be there on a Sunday so we did not have an Amish person drive the buggy or visit the Amish in their homes, but what we did see on the bus tour was Amish worshipping at homes, teens playing volleyball at the social they have in the afternoons and scores of Amish in their buggies going to and fro. Because of Kent's personal relationship with the Amish community I learned so much information that I did not know from my previous trips to Lancaster...and I thought I knew it all! The Amish schoolhouse and home and the multi-media presentation of Jacob's Choice made the experience complete. I highly recommend beginning your visit to the Amish community with this experience.

My wife and I visited the area to go to sight and sound theater. We decide to take a tour with the Amish experience. Art was our tour guide and he did an EXCELLENT job explaining the life of the Amish as he took us around the area. Totally worth our time as we got to learn and enjoy our time together.

My husband and I were very excited about visiting Amish Country. It was truly an educational and worthwhile experience. We purchased the Super Saver tour which included a bus tour, homestead tour, and viewing of Jacob's Choice. Daniel, our tour for the bus tour, was AWESOME! He is extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. He was very open to answering questions and provided great insight to the Amish people. Daniel was also very friendly and made it a point to get to know everyone on his bus. We did the homestead tour next. We learned about the educational system and walked through a typical Amish house. It was so interesting to learn about the Amish lifestyle and the foundations for all of their practices. The Amish people are very community and family oriented. It was very inspiring to learn about the Amish people's beliefs and practices. Finally, we watched Jacob's Choice and went on the free buggy ride. Our guide for the buggy ride grew up Amish and provided more insight into the religion. We were also able to explore more of Amish Country on our own after the tours had finished. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to everyone!
